St Mary's is the Mother Church of the town and people have worshipped here since 1831. We are an Anglican church in the catholic tradition of the Church of England.
Today we are an eclectic community of people seeking to journey together on the pilgrimage of faith whilst making the love and peace of Christ known and being a transforming presence in the community we serve.
Whatever the reason you have visited today, and whoever you are, you are welcome and we look forward to seeing you soon.
If you'd like to know what we really mean when we say 'you're welcome', read our Welcome Charter.
Fr Gareth Jones, Vicar.
