to the website of Saint Mary the Virgin, Great Ilford, a Church of England parish in the Barking Episcopal Area of the Diocese of Chelmsford.
St Mary's is the oldest parish church in the town and people have worshipped here since 1831. Set firmly in the Catholic Tradition of the Church of England, today we are an eclectic community of people , young and old, seeking to journey together on the pilgrimage of faith and make the love and peace of Christ known in the community we serve.
